How does the dishwasher drain the water?

I have a GE Triton Quiet Power II, model GSD5500GWW, and once it's done, it stays there for the entire duration. It doesn't even drain itself. It's like a pool of water and I can't locate any hoop thingy or an air gap. I need some help.
