Is the update for the Huawei Ascend any good?

I have the Huawei ascend and I wanted to hear some feedback before I actually updated the software because once you update it you cant go back so if you have an answer I would greatly appreciate it. Oh and it also won't let me access the android market because it says that there isn't a reliable data connection. Thanks in advance by the way
