Why won't wireless work on my laptop?

I have a fujitsu Amilo Li 2727 laptop, to turn on wireless you must press Fn + F1, but this does not work for me. When I press Fn + F1 nothing happens, nothing appears on my screen and the wireless does not work. Can anyone tell me why this is happening or how it fix it?
