Turning on wireless capability problem?

my friends fujitsu siemens amilo laptop wireless capability doesnt work. I mean before its Fn+F1 to turn the animation on and from there we could connect to the internet. But now its somehow stopped. we try it now nothing comes up. Also we checked the driveron network adapters and its says we only have Atheros 5007eg wireless network adapter, and other one is Realtek PCI FE family controller. Any Suggestions????
