Are nose piercings intimidating?

I have a nose piercing, it's one of those hoop kinds (please don't complain about how ugly those are, I like it and it looks good on me!) anyways I volunteer at the Public Library and I'm helping with the children's reading program so I'll be around the parents and kids a lot. I'm scared that I will intimidate the kids or scare the parents and make them think the program is full of bad teenagers, will I? What do you think?
