How to fix a Xbox 360 250gb memory hard drive?

I try to transfer data from my old 20gb to my new elite 250gb whit a migration kit I bought from eBay but I ended up formatting the 250gb and now the Xbox won't recognize it as a memory hard drive or any thing does any body know what to do I'll apreciate the help thank you
